Permit plans for our larger buildings

All buildings on Maui above 200 ft.² required building permits. Therefore we prepare in advance plans and specifications for all of our models 500 ft.² and above. These plans are included in the pricing of the Ohana’s and Houses. Included in this cost is the preparation of your site plan showing the building location on your lot. A Lot plan or survey needs to be provided in order to prepare this site plan. if a survey is needed it is at the owners expense.

Custom designs

Maui Eco Built founder Erik Beale has 40 years of experience designing custom homes. With 100,000 ft.² of custom homes built. We leverage this wealth of design experience in creating custom Ohana‘s & Homes. The concept is to create the best home for its inhabitants and their intended uses, taking into account the myriad microclimates of Maui. Wind, rain, sunshine and sunsets, views, neighbors, all holistically considered. The ideas to build the best possible home for its inhabitants and its location at the best price point. Pricing is based on 10% of projected construction cost.

Site planning and consultations

We offer comprehensive design services for your land. From driveway, design, grading and citing of your house, Ohana, garage, Septic system location. Billed at an hourly rate of $250 an hour.

Permit application and facilitation

We offer comprehensive permit application and facilitation services. County Of Maui is notoriously slow in processing permits. In order for your project to be expedited, it is helpful to have a consultant with experience and detailed knowledge of the county’s red tape to push your permit through. Permit facilitation is billed at $250 per hour.
